Kurukshetra (2000 film)

Kurukshetra is a 2000 Hindi film written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar,November 2000.The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Mahima Chaudhary and Om Puri in lead roles.

One day C.M. Babu Rao Deshmukhs son Ambar and his friend Rohit, trap a girl named Gita in a hotel room and both of them rape her. This brutal incident evokes into the battle of Kurukshetra. The battle is fought between the C.M.Babu Rao Deshmukh and ACP Prithvi Raj Singh. The C.M. Babu Rao Deshmukh Om Puri has money,power and government infrastructure and on the other side, ACP Prithvi Raj Singh gets the support from opposition leader Sambhaji Yadav, Iqbal Pasina and their families. Sambhaji Yadav later betrays ACP Prithvi Raj and join hands with the C.M. Finally Prithvi Raj finds that law is helpless and kills both C.M. and Sambhaji Yadav.Smalltime Actress Suman Ranganathan was seen in a guest appearance in the item song nahi milega aisa ghaghra. ........
